Erin Livingston, MD

Dr. Erin Livingston, MD, is a pediatrician practicing in our Amory and Starkville offices. She joined P&S in 2018.

Dr. Livingston felt the call to medicine in high school.

“I felt like God was calling me to walk with families dealing with serious or fatal disease.”

Going to medical school with the intent of treating cancer, it soon became very apparent that she loved working with children.

“I fell in love with well-baby checks. Children are just more fun, and I like helping parents be prepared for the next phase of their child’s life and giving kids the tools to be happy, healthy adults.”

Dr. Livingston feels that wellness visits are the most important part of her job.

“I love forming relationships with my patients and their parents. I like answering the list of questions they bring with them and talking about PAW Patrol and Frozen.”

She feels a great responsibility to coach families into healthy lifestyles and catch any potential problems early.

In addition to general healthy lifestyles, Dr. Livingston is particularly interested in childhood obesity, behavior issues (such as ADHD), and mental health.

When at home Dr. Livingston enjoys taking walks with her husband, Carlisle, and their two daughters. She can often be found knitting, baking, or reading with a cup of coffee nearby.
